La Lila en suédine

Foulard et tote bag: Make My Lemonade

     J'en ai rêvé, je l'ai finalement fait: j'ai cousu ma jupe en suédine. Depuis que j'ai pu imprimer mon patron de la bien belle Lila de chez Make My Lemonade, j'attendais l'occasion de pouvoir mettre la main sur de la suédine. J'en ai rêvé, Self Tissus l'a fait. 

     I've been dreaming of it, I finally dit it: I sew my suedette skirt. Since the day I got the template of the most beautiful Lila by Make My Lemonade, I've been waiting and waiting to lay a hand on suedette. I've been dreaming of it, Self Tissus made it.

     Je n'avais jamais cousu de suédine avant ça, et oh surprise, c'est bien compliqué. La machine sautait des points et elle a bien failli passer par la fenêtre. J'ai dû coudre des feuilles de papier au tissu et l'arracher. Oh joie. Au final, j'ai décidé de supprimer la doublure, elle tombe bien mieux comme ça.

     I never sew any suedette before, and surprise it's harder than expected. The machine jumped stitches and poor thing almost went through the window. I had to sew sheets of paper to the fabric and rip it off afterwards. The joy. In the end I decided to remove the lining, to me it looks better this way.

     Au final, je suis bien satisfaite de cette jupe. Elle est un peu bancale mais seulement si on regarde de trop près. Je vous prépare quelquechose de différent pour la semaine prochaine, restez dans le coin!

     In the end, I'm quite satisfied by this skirt. It's quite rickety but only if you look too closely.. I'm preparing you something different for next week, stay tuned!
